In the summer of 2011, I convened the first Museum Teen Summit–a group of teens from museum teen programs across New York City. We spent the summer learning how to research, document, and share their perspectives on the role of young people in museums. At the end of the summer, we realized our work was only beginning.
Since then, the Museum Teen Summit has grown into a vibrant youth-led organization focused on understanding and advocating for teen participation in museums with a strong social media presence. Follow their work on facebook, twitter, blogspot, and via their website.
